October 2nd Race
TMCCC needs your feedback.  There are no dates remaining to schedule another race for the year.

In order to have 10 races we will need to have a double header on Oct 2nd.  If we only have 9 races, banquet tickets will increase in price.

Please vote on the following.

Option 1: Only Race 1 (pay more at banquet)
Option 2: Start Race 2 after one time trial (time trial following conclusion of Race 1)
Option 3: Finish Race 1 and immediately start Race 2 (no time trials for Race 2)

Yesterday was a rough day.  Track had timing system issues first thing, then the weirdest clean up I've ever seen.  A muffler blew up and sprayed fiberglass all over the track.  Then it started misting during the first round of eliminations in Super Muscle.  Mother Nature won this one.

Race will pick up where we left off on the 8th of November.  No new entries will be accepted.  If you are unable to make it back, you will be given your bonus points for making the race if you qualify.

I know there will be a few of you that cannot make it back on the 8th.  I apologize for the inconvenience, but the one thing we have no control over is the weather.

Keep your wristbands, they will be your way back in on the 8th.  The gate will also have a list of those that turned in tech cards, this will show if you were entered in more than one class.  Unfortunately the only way to get the spectators and pit crew back in will be to use their wristband.

If you were already eliminated and you are eligible for the Big Dog, you will not need to pay again on the 8th.  Just give them your wristband and let them know you are here for the Big Dog.  If you are eligible to run the Big Dog and did not make it yesterday (Oct 25th)  but can make it on November 8th, please get with me ASAP.  You will not be able to enter the races for the classes but you will be able to run the Big Dog.

See everyone on November 8th at the Motorplex, gates at 8 AM!

The following drivers are eligible to race in the Big Dog.  If you did not attend yesterday's race and would like to run the Big Dog on November 8th please let me know.  We are still working on logistics of trying to allow those who did not attend yesterday to be able to race on the 8th but I need an idea of how many drivers that will be.

Jorge has been in contact with the Motorplex and Xtreme to get us rescheduled and back to racing. He's working hard to get us on their schedules! He doesn't have exact dates yet but they are getting close.

Our first race will be Ardmore on May 17th. If you have not renewed or registered your Driver Reward number please consider doing so online or through the mail. I would like to limit the crowd at the registration table as much as possible.

See y'all in the pits soon!!

Good Morning Racers, It is with heavy heart that I write to you this morning, Ray passed away Saturday morning after a fight with cancer.   Ray was one of the founding members of the Texas Muscle Car Club Challenge and he helped keep it going for over 20 years.  His passion for racing was evident every time you had a conversation with him.  He was a great mentor on our team and has helped usher the new generation of racers into the sport, myself included.  He always had great advice and was a wealth of knowledge, specially on our finicky modular motors.  After one particularly rough race of mine a few years ago he said "Get out of your head and drive the damn car!" and it has stuck with me.  Like many of us, he made me a better racer.  We are going to miss that stubborn ole man! Services will be Saturday December 7th at 10 AM at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen.  In lieu of flowers the family has asked for toy donations =10pt(new, un-wrapped)=10pt to the AER Toy Drive happening the same day.  (This Toy Drive was near and dear to Ray's heart)  The team members at the banquet this past weekend have decided to use our winnings from our 3rd place finish ($75) this weekend to buy toys.  The Lake Cities Mopar (thank you Tim!) team kicked in $20 and the Dittmer's donated their door prize winnings ($50) to help get us a great donation.  If you would like to donate toys (new, un-wrapped) or to the toy fund please reach out to me via cell 817-821-7511 and we'll make arrangements.  I will load up the truck and take our donations to AER after the service. You can find out more info about the services from [url]h

How about a donation box at the TMCCC table? That way when we come to pay our dues on the 16th we can drop some cash into the box.

The bad thing about Ardmore is the pit parking is mainly grass (unless they've made improvements since last year).  A big rain Saturday will make it a mess for Sunday.

The rain chances for Saturday are enough to make me cancel my hotel reservation, don't have the money to waste if we get rained out.  If we race I'll see everyone bright and early on 35W Sunday morning!

Courtesy staging has not been practiced in any race I have run in Super this year.  I always try to when I stage first but people stare like I'm crazy.

Question for you guys......would I be right in asked the starter to make the other car back up and courtesy stage?  I don't want to cause drama but dangit quit double staging me!
