OK, It seems that there is some confusion at least on my part on the use of a trans brake in a non-electronic class. I currently run in the King Muscle class and have heard several racers state that they are not allowed. The rules state that a manually activated trans brake is allowed.
I'm about to build a new transmission and would like to have a better feeling before spending any money.

From what I see Dennis I would say that you are OK with a manually activated trans brake. I know they are running them in the Pro and Super Pro and I don't know why someone would say that you could not run it in King. My son and I run King and we would not have a problem with it. As long as you don't use a 2step or some kind of electronics. We don't have a trans brake but it would be nice.
I would say go for it and tell them to prove you wrong. We are just out there having fun.
Someone tell us different.
