Last night at Motorplex was a catastrophic failure of track management who attempted to shove a "size 9 foot into a size 3 shoe". Instead of sequencing the activity in a first come/first serve basis they attempted to flood the zone and give a little something to everyone. Result = Everyone was annoyed....and...the TMCCC (which was already delayed by the 1 hour delay for the oil down) was pushed to the curb.
If you find yourself overcrowded the LAST thing the track should do is to gets driver anxiety ratcheted up by calling 3 classes/groups plus TNT to the lanes all at once......pitiful.

Yes, it was pitiful! We had people still in - leave. They had this annoying guy with a mic running things from the lanes. It was not the normal professional Ennis we are used to seeing. People were even betting on our cars. Not only did the guy in the tower cuss up Jorge, but several racers did also. They got the grudgers out about 3am and then finally finished us up till a little after 4am. We finally got score sheets about 4:45am along with an apology to Jorge from the guy that normally runs stuff for us. It was out of his hands. So , along with a kid asleep since midnight in the back seat, Jorge and I didn't get to leave till almost 5am.
But remember, There are only "2" descent tracks left in our area. Times are tough right now and businesses are trying to survive. Normally we have a good program at Ennis. We will be back there again and again. Jorge is finishing his Pres two year term and VP- Bill Boon is taking over, any volunteers to step up and take over at VP ? So hope to see everyone there again Sept 27 !!
