Well this weekend keeps getting better. Received a ticket Friday night for exp. trailer tags and today I get a call from the storage lot where I keep the trailer in Midothian. They were broke into last night and several trailers were stolen including mine. Keep an eye out for a black 18 ft. Car hauler with a tongue box and winch.

Nope, signed a waver when I started with them 2 years ago. Im hoping my home owners will help out.

Do you know the plate number? I am in law enforcement and roll around 2 counties, back roads and all so can keep an eye out.

Getting a trailer stolen really sucks: I have had 2 stolen in the last few years. Sorry to hear about yours.
One note if you get yours back (or have to buy a new one) add your trailer to your auto policy-costs almost nothing per year to add to your policy. Both times I had one stolen, Allstate bought me a new one-less my deductable of course. Still a total pain to have to file reports and find another trailer.

Dang Dennis that is some bad luck. I know I talked to you Friday and you were telling me about all those tickets. Now I wonder how you are going to get rid of those. I talked to my son today and he heard about that and there was some cars stolden also so this was a big operation that I feel had been casing that place. I think we should go back to the old days of horse stealing if caught hang them at the first place you can a tree or something.

They cut thru the back gate to avoid the security systems. They stole a Dodge dully and triple trailer loaded with a 67 Camaro, AC Cobra kit car plus three other car trailers including mine.
Word for the wise race fans. Your car ins. provider will cover your trailer for a few dollers a month. State Farm quoted me $100 per yr for stated value of $2500 with a $500 ded.
My current policy only covers it while in use. Home owners ins deductible is to high to claim.

Looks like social media came thru for me. Someone had seen a facebook post about trailers being stolen and took a cell phone picture of a cab over trailer behind a house that looked out of place and sent it to Dallas PD. They raided the house this morning and found at least 4 trailers, several cars, 4 wheelers, bobcats etc. Before I left, I heard them say they discovered a cupple of dragsters hidden in the woods behind the house.
I was extremely lucky and everything was there except for the tags.
